Welcome to Flat Iron Farm.....Lock Your Car Doors!
This page downloads quickly (okay, it used to), no beautiful backgrounds, no dancing cats, because I don't have the slightest idea what I am doing! HOTMAIL TO ME IS A LETTER FROM THE IRS! My name is Pam and I go under the name "addysea". When I first got on the internet I didn't know that I could pick my own name and went under my husband's handle of "striper038" (his favorite fish to catch and the size fish he's DREAMING OF!). Well, it wasn't long before every PERVERT WITHIN TYPING RANGE thought it meant "stripper" and whatever part they thought was a 38, let's say, I'd be DREAMING! I decided to rename myself "addysea" after an old house that stands ocean front in nearby Bethany Beach (DE). Fortunately, the old house has withstood more storms then I have, but with 3 kids (2 daughters, Cody, 12 and Taylor Paige, 5 and 1 son, Hunter, 10) I've got a strong feeling the nor'easters of my life are around the corner. My husband of almost 13 years, Rick, is a commercial boat captain. Ten years ago we saved an old farm house from the local fire department's torch (SORRY GUYS! I KNOW HOW MUCH YOU GET INTO A GOOD BURNING!) It was called Flat Iron Farm after the shape of the property it was on. We moved it a mile down the road and began our always on going renovation project. The lot we chose was heavily wooded and over the years we've beaten it back and added shrubs and many many flowers. Gardening is a passion and over the years my vegetable garden has gotten smaller and my flower garden has gotten bigger. You can only eat so many zucchini and can so many tomatoes! When my friends would come to visit they would LOCK THEIR CAR DOORS for fear of a big bag of squash snuck into their backseat. With the addition of our new 300lb minature(?)horse (described by Cody as a dog on steriods!)barn and fenced in pasture, our home is starting to somewhat resemble it's namesake! So if you're ever in the neighborhood, KEEP ON GOING, unless you want a big bag of ROAD APPLES with your squash! 3/20/98
Wow, I can't believe it's been 2 years since I wrote that. My kids are doing great. Cody's turning into a beautiful young women. And from as much as the phone rings, I guess we are not the only ones to notice. (Here comes that nor'easter, I was talking about!) Hunt's doing great being homeschooled. We made the right decision there. He's a much happier child. Taylor Paige is Taylor Paige. She's coming into her own, her personality is starting to develope. She's a good mix of the other two. Rick's left commercial fishing and has jumped to the other side, sport fishing. Which if you don't understand the fishing world, that's like jumping from the Dallas Cowboys to the Washington Redskins. The two are arch rivals. It's proven to be a good move, as he has been consistently one of the top boats. As for me, I'm still me. Beating back the woods, running kids around, doing all the dirty jobs, nobody else wants to do and trying to find my place in this world........ When I find it, I will let you know. march 2000
Wow! Has my life changed! I've got some updating to do! It's 2007! I'm divorced. Dropped that other name and went back to Pamela Savage. Rick ran off to Viet Nam, Cody, now 21, lives over in Rehoboth Beach, Hunter, 19, and Taylor Paige, 14, are still at home. For almost 4 years I've been selling houses in a coastal resort community called Pot Nets. It's in Long Neck, DE. I enjoy my job. I love my clients. Somehow I manage to get the best people.
I see now, I'm going to have to dust this old page off and bring it back to life.
